THE MOVIE!

SPRUNG FROM A PANDEMIC:
SONGS, STORIES AND BACKYARD FABLES!

video.jpg

What do 2 singer/actors living in a CT shoreline town, an enlightened backyard chipmunk and a guy with a camera do throughout a pandemic?  They make a homegrown hour-long, mini movie musical!

With cinematography by Aldimar Video Productions, and Hal Robinson as Narrator, Sprung from a Pandemic: Songs, Stories and Backyard Fables!  is a celebration of life and love, survival and “thrival” as we're (almost) sprung from a pandemic.  It features my wonderful and talented husband Rich Flanders, Chip (our wise-cracking resident chipmunk) and me.

It’s packed with songs, stories and fables! It takes place in our home, backyard, under our neighbor’s tree and in some favorite places in Madison and Old Lyme, CT. In many ways, it’s a love song to Connecticut and creative resilience during challenging times. A labor of love and gift from our hearts, it’s offered free of charge and available to “watch anytime” on any device.

It’s not MGM but it’s fun and a decent first effort at making a movie musical … with a lot of help from the talented people and inspiring places listed below …

Grateful for: Cinematography/Film Editing: Al Di Marzio, Aldimar Video Productions, (CT). Narrator: Hal Robinson (NYC). Piano Accompanists: Brenda Casey (CT), Matthew Martin Ward (NYC), Brad Ross (NYC), Alex Rybeck (NYC) and Donn Trenner (Heaven). Sound:  Stuart Allyn, ADR Sound (NY); Russell Landis, at Fever Barn Recording (CT). Illustrations for “The Tale of The Oyster”:  Rob “Robare” Gardner.  Celestial Images:  Madhavan Parthasarthy (CT).  Hair: Stacey DiCarlo, DiCarlo Designs. Makeup: By Lilac. The Mighty White Oak Tree: The Behan Family (CT). Beautiful Places:  The Florence Griswold Museum (Old Lyme, CT) and Hammonassett Beach State Park (Madison, CT).

So grab some popcorn, tune in and enjoy!
